• How to launch campaigns on social media with links

How do you track the performance of every piece of content that you ship out?

It is as easy as flipping a coin.

With Paperflite's 'Generate Link' feature, you can create links for Collections and individual assets to share content outside your organization.

The type of link you create decides what you learn about your viewers. Paperflite offers four options: Personalized Link, Anonymous Link with Email Gating, Anonymous Link, and Link with UTM Parameters. Let us look at how each one works and when to use it.

Which link should you use?

Sharing with one person? Use a Personalized Link. Every view is tied to that prospect's email ID, so you know exactly who engaged and how.

Sharing with a group? Don't reuse a Personalized Link. It is created for one recipient, so anyone else who opens it can't be identified. Use an Anonymous Link with Email Gating instead. Each viewer enters their email before opening the content, so one link gives you analytics for everyone.

Don't need analytics? A plain Anonymous Link is the quickest option.

Running a social media campaign? Use a Link with UTM Parameters to track performance by campaign and channel.

How do you create a Personalized Link?

Personalized Links are specific to the individual prospects you'd like to share your content with.

Step 1

You can create Personalized Links for individual assets or Collections. To share a Collection, click the Collection tile and choose the 'Generate Link' option at the top of the banner.

To generate a link for an asset, open the asset and click 'Generate Link' in the top right corner.

Step 2

In the 'Personalized Link' tab, enter the email ID of the person you wish to send the Collection or asset to, then click the arrow beside the entered email to proceed.

Step 3

Your Personalized Link is now generated. Copy it and send it to your prospect.

You're almost there. Paperflite gives you additional controls over how your prospect engages with the content you share. You can simply copy your link here, or move to Advanced Settings for more control.

Step 4 (optional)

In the 'Advanced Settings' panel, you can allow your recipients to:

• Download the Collection

• Re-share the Collection

• Protect the content with a password (remember to share the password with your recipients)

• Set an expiry date and time until which recipients can engage with your content (let your recipients know so they don't miss it)

Update the link to your preference and click 'Save'.

How do you get analytics when sharing with a group?

Use an Anonymous Link with Email Gating. It works like an Anonymous Link, but viewers must enter their email before they can open your content.

Step 1

Click 'Generate Link' on your Collection or asset.

Step 2

Open the 'Anonymous Link' tab and turn on Email Gating.

Step 3

Copy the link and share it with your group, for example in a webinar follow-up or a team-wide email.

You get a single link for everyone, and every view is tied to a real email, so you can see who engaged.

How does the Anonymous Link work?

An Anonymous Link is a quick-to-use feature that works the same way as a Personalized Link, but without the analytics. Create one for a Collection or an asset when you don't need to track how your content performs, and leave Email Gating off.

How do you use links with UTM parameters?

Launching a social media campaign? Now, track how your content fares across channels, and see deeper engagement metrics than the likes and impressions that social media platforms give you.

Step 1

When you're ready to share your Collection or asset for a campaign, click 'Generate Link'. Choose the third option, 'Executing a new campaign?', and enter your campaign tag.

Step 2

Click the arrow to proceed.

Step 3

You will now be prompted to enter additional UTM parameters: campaign source, campaign medium, campaign term, and campaign content.

Once you've entered the details, save them and remember to copy the link. You're now ready to send it to your leads and customers.
