This article walks users through the steps involved in configuring the Paperflite LiteApp instance within Salesforce.

With this integration, you now have a complete instance of Paperflite within Salesforce itself, eliminating the need to go back -and- forth between Salesforce and Paperflite.

To configure the integration, you will need:

  • Paperflite LiteApp package URL

  • To be logged into your Salesforce CRM

(Please note: the package URL will be provided to you by your Paperflite CSM.)

Steps involved in setting up the Paperflite LiteApp instance on Salesforce:

  1. Getting the package URL and installing the Paperflite LiteApp package for all users

  2. Setting up the Paperflite LiteApp tab on the Salesforce homepage

  3. Configuring Conversation and Share activity in Contacts

  4. Setting up Recommended Content in Opportunities

Step 1: Installing the Paperflite LiteApp package for all users

Click the LiteApp package URL (provided to you by your CSM), and you will then be directed to the package installation page.

On this page, click on the "View Components" button to ensure the package has all the relevant components needed for this setup.

Here are the components that you need to ensure are present in the package:

  • LiteApp

  • Recommended

  • Opportunities_Share

  • Contact_Conversation

Installing the Paperflite LiteApp package for all users

Once you’ve verified the components, choose Install for All Users and proceed to install the package.

Once the installation is complete, click "Done".

The Paperflite LiteApp package has now been installed.

Setting up the LiteApp as a Lightning Component Tab

Once the installation is complete, we proceed to add the Paperflite LiteApp as a Lightning Component Tab.

The Lightning Component Tabs will enable us to bring the Paperflite LiteApp package to the navigation menu on your Salesforce homepage.

Next, head to the "Quick Find" section on the left menu bar.

Here, search for "Tabs".

When you click on “Tabs”, you’ll be taken to the Custom Tabs page, under which you’ll find Lightning Component Tabs at the bottom of the list of custom tabs.

Click on the New button right beside the Lightning Component Tab section.

Now, you'll be able to define and set up a New Lighting Component Tab for the Paperflite LiteApp package.

Use the details given below against each option

  • Lightning Component - paperflite: LiteApp

  • Tab Label - Paperflite

  • Tab Name - Paperflite

  • Tab Style - Select a style of your own choice from the Tab Style Selector.

After you've completed all of the fields, click on Next and Save.

Now, your Paperflite LiteApp package has been set up as a Lightning Component Tab.

Step 2: Adding the Paperflite LiteApp module to your Salesforce homepage

In this step, we bring the Paperflite LiteApp tab to the navigation menu ribbon on your Salesforce homepage.

Head to your Salesforce homepage and click on the Pencil icon on the top right.

The Pencil icon allows you to personalize your navigation bar (the ribbon on the top) and bring into view the tabs you most frequently use.

You’ll then be directed to the Edit Sales App Navigation Items pop-up, where you can add more items to your navigation bar.

Once you’ve clicked “Add More Items”, navigate to “All” and enter Paperflite in the search bar.

Now, click on the "+" icon beside Paperflite and click the “Add 1 Nav Item” button at the bottom and click “Save”.

Once you’ve hit the Save button, you’ll see a notification that says, “Nav bar was updated”, which means the Paperflite LiteApp tab has been added to your navigation bar.

Now, let's bring the LiteApp tab into view on the navigation bar to make for easy accessibility.

Navigate to the “More” drop-down menu on the right corner and drag and drop the Paperflite tab on the navigation bar.

The Paperflite LiteApp tab is now pinned to the navigation bar, where you can easily find it.

When you click on the Paperflite tab, you’ll be prompted to log in to your Paperflite account.

Once you’ve logged in, you’ll have an entire instance of Paperflite available right within Salesforce.

Step 3: Configuring Conversation Activity for Contacts

This is an overview of how you can configure the integration to view conversation activity for your contacts.

First, go to your contact list and select a contact.

Now click the gear icon on the top left that says “Setup” and click on “Edit Page”

Now the Lightning App Builder opens up.

For each contact, you will see a set of tabs already available. (Activity, Chatter)

You can add more tabs by clicking on “Add Tab”.

Now a tab with the label “details” opens up. When you click on “Details” a drop-down menu opens up. Change the label from Details to Custom that’s at the top of the list.

When you click on “Details” a drop-down menu opens up. Change the label from Details to Custom that’s at the top of the list.

Give this tab a new custom label. Say “Paperflite” and click “Done”. The Custom tab will now be available alongside Activity and Chatter.

When you click on the Paperflite tab, you’ll see that it’s empty and says, “Add components here”.

Let’s go ahead and populate the “Paperflite” tab to show the conversation history with the contact.

On the left, you’ll see a list of components. Navigate to “Custom-Managed”, and you’ll see three components. These are the same three components that we ensured when we installed the LiteApp package.

  • Recommended

  • Opportunities_Share

  • Contact_Conversation

Let’s drag “Contact_Conversation” and drop it into the “Paperflite” tab on the right.

You’ll now see a list of all the shares and conversations you’ve had with that particular contact.

Now hit “Save”. And then click on the Back button in the top left corner.

When you navigate to each specific contact, you’ll get to see all the conversation activity with that content under the “Paperflite” tab on the right.

Step 4: Setting up Content Recommendations for Opportunities

Similar to how we set up the conversation activity for contacts, we can configure the content recommendations module for every opportunity so that Sales teams always have high-performing content recommended to them for every opportunity.

Go to the "Gear" Icon on the top and click “Edit Page”. You’re now taken to the Lightning App Builder module on Salesforce.

Here, on the right, you’ll see tabs that are relevant to the opportunity.

Let’s go ahead and add another custom tab by clicking on the “Add Tab” button. The default label is “details”.

When you click on “Details”, a drop-down menu opens up. Change the label from Details to Custom that’s at the top of the list.

Give this tab a new custom label. Let’s call this “PF Recommendations”.

Now a custom tab has been created under “PF Recommendations”.

When you click on the tab, you’ll see it’s empty and says “Add Components”

On the left, you’ll see a list of components. Navigate to “Custom-Managed”, and you’ll see three components. These are the same three components that we ensured when we installed the LiteApp package.

  • Recommended

  • Opportunities_Share

  • Contact_Conversation

Let’s drag “Recommended” and drop it into the “PF Recommendations” tab on the right.

This is the tab where Sales reps will get to see content recommendations for each opportunity.

Now hit “Save”. And then click on the Back button in the top left corner.

That's it, you've now configured content recommendations within Salesforce.

Now, for every opportunity, Paperflite will recommend high performing content right within sales reps' workflow.
