There are multiple ways to share content via Paperflite. Generate link is one of the mediums to share content with users.

In this support article we will learn about:

  1. Personalized links

  2. Anonymous links

  3. Analytics when you generate an anonymous link

  4. Analytics when you generate a UTM Campaign links

Paperflite’s ‘Generate Link’ feature lets you create links for collections and individual assets in three different ways: Personalized Link, Anonymous Link and Links with UTM Parameters.

1. Personalized links:

Personalized links are specific to individual prospects with whom you’d like to share your content with and you get in depth analytics on their activity. Here’s where you can see in detail about personalized links.

2. Anonymous Links:

Anonymous Link is a quick-to-use feature that works in the same manner as a personalized link, but only with visitor analytics. You can create an Anonymous Link for a Collection or an asset when don’t wish to track the analytics of your content piece.

Here’s how you can Generate an anonymous link:

Step 1:

To share a collection, simply click on the collection tile and choose ‘Generate Link’ option on the top right corner in the banner.

Step 2:

In the link for Anonymous Link tab, click on ‘Get Link.’

Step 3:

Your anonymous link is now ready – copy it to send it to your prospect.

You’re almost there. Paperflite gives you additional controls on how you want your prospect to engage with the content you share. You can choose to simply copy your link here or move to Advanced Settings for advanced controls.

Step 4:

In the ‘Advanced Settings’ panel, you have the option to allow your recipients to:

  • Download the Collection.

  • Re-share the Collection.

  • Enable “Email gating”, an automated form to collect lead data of anyone engaging with your content.

  • Protect your content piece with a password (in which case, don’t forget to communicate the password to your recipients).

  • Set an expiry date and time until when recipients can engage with your content (again, remember to intimate your recipients so they don’t miss it).

  • Enable NDA (if you want to maintain confidentiality of your assets with your recipients)

Note: Only one link gets generated when you share via an anonymous link multiple times. Although, if you wish to have different Advanced settings for each link, you can regenerate the link and add the respective settings required and it will apply for that particular link alone.

Scenarios where Anonymous shares get captured:

  1. Generate link

  2. UTM Campaign links

3. Analytics when you generate an anonymous link:

For any anonymous link generated, a conversation gets created automatically under the “Conversation” module. This is present under the “Anonymous viewers” options.

Paperflite uses a pseudonym while capturing the visitor details like Ivory Grasshopper (a colour + animal name) for simple and easy identification.

The moment a visitor turns into a contact (where the visitor shares their details), it gets captured under the Known viewers.

Under this, you will find details of visitors who have engaged with your content like:

  • Device name

  • Browser name

  • Date and time of interaction

  • IP address of the visitor

  • Location of the user

  • Time spent

4. Analytics when you generate a UTM campaign link:

How do you use links with UTM parameters?

Launching a social media campaign? Now, track how your content is faring across social media channels. Discover deeper content engagement metrics, than the ‘likes’ and ‘impressions’ that social media outlets give out.

Step 1:

When you’re ready to share your Collection/Asset for a campaign, click on ‘Generate Link.’ Choose the third option, ‘Executing a new campaign?’ field and enter your campaign tag.

Step 2:

Click on ‘Get Link.’

Step 3:

You will now be prompted to enter additional UTM parameters such as campaign source, campaign medium, campaign term and content for it.

Step 4:

Once you’ve entered the details, save it and remember to copy the link.

Here’s where you can see the analytics of your campaign:

Head to your “Reports” module present on the tab on the left. Click on the “Engagement” tab.

Under “How are your campaigns performing” and “How are your content shared?” all your campaign details will be available.

You’re now ready for all your campaigns and to share all your content.
