Paperflite’s integration with Salesforce allows users to efficiently manage and share content with their contacts. To enhance control over communication, you can configure Email-sharing restrictions within the Paperflite platform for your Salesforce contacts. This ensures that sensitive or restricted contacts are not included in your email campaigns or communications.

This support article guides you through the steps to seamlessly configure Email-sharing restrictions within the Paperflite platform for your Salesforce contacts effectively.

Step 1: Configure Salesforce Field Accessibility

  • Login to Salesforce, click on Object Manager, and scroll down to select Contact.

  • Under Contact, navigate to Fields & Relationships and scroll down to select the Do Not Call field.

  • Click on View Field Accessibility within the Do Not Call field and customize Field Access to your choice.

Step 2: Set Restrictions for a Contact in the Salesforce Sales Console

  • Open the Salesforce Sales Console and navigate to Contacts. You will find a new Field column named Do Not Call.

  • Choose a particular Contact, and ensure that the Do Not Call field is checked in the contact details, and click on Save.

Step 3: Implement Do Not Call restrictions within Paperflite.

  • Attempting to send an email to a contact with the Do Not Call field checked in Salesforce will result in a restriction within Paperflite.

  • The Contact will be highlighted in Pink as opposed to the usual Grey, indicating that they have enabled the Do Not Call field in Salesforce.

  • A message pops up at the bottom of the screen which states that you will be unable to send mail via Paperflite to them.

In a scenario when a Contact in Salesforce (But Not on Paperflite) has already enabled the "Do Not Call" Field, and content via Paperflite is shared with them, this is how it reflects in Paperflite's Conversation -

They would now be added as Contact in Paperflite, but you would be able to notice a DND icon next to their Name.
